Born in a small town in Hualien district, and of Amis indigenous descent, Ilid Kaolo is a Taiwanese female singer that grew up in Taipei.
Reflecting upon all those years of ups and downs in her urban life, her music is somewhat warm and a little rebellious from the routine. Her soothing melodies wield the soothing effect on busy souls.
A singer-songwriter that emphasizess on quality over quantity, her songs have constantly earned recognition of various awards, the most notable of all being the ‘Best Aboriginal Singer’, ‘Best Album’ and ‘Best New Artist’ award in the 23rd Golden Melody Awards.
Her warm and immersive vocals are simple but wield the power to heal. Tian Kong is honoured to have her grace the stage with her debut performance in Malaysia. She will also be collaborating with our dear Sarawakian songstress, Zee Avi on the stage of Tian Kong.
The hustle and bustle of urban life can often be exhausting and nerve-wracking, we find ourselves lucky to have such a wonderful voice, bringing peace to our perplexed souls.
